King’s College has been awarded a European grant, funded by H2020, in the field of Biomedical Imaging. The project “FORCE, Imaging the force of cancer” (FORCE) aims to address a fundamental need in diagnosis, planning and monitoring of cancer treatment through the novel development of Magnetic Resonance Elastography (MRE).
In this project, we focus on different organ systems (liver, brain, and breast) in collaboration with centers spread throughout the EU, USA and Australia.
For this innovative project, we are searching a MR-physicist who did his/her PhD in the context of MR-sequence development and data acquisition. The aim of the work is to develop, test, and deploy novel “MRForce” sequences which combine macroscopic motion tracking with MR-Elastography. The activities involve MR sequence development on clinical as well as pre-clinical systems. Day- to-day tasks include data acquisition, collection, analysis including detailed histopathology, genetic profiling, using exosome analysis from blood samples.
The post will require significant MRI knowledge and experience. Candidates with additional skills in experimental work on all levels, i.e. hardware design, fabrication, and testing are strongly encouraged to apply.
The selection process will include a presentation, an assessment and a panel interview.
