A post-doctoral research position is available from October 2016 for one year in the group led by Professor David Klenerman in the Department of Chemistry, University of Cambridge. The aim of the project is to develop methods to enrich the protein aggregates present in the CSF of patients with neurodegenerative disease, present at picomolar concentrations, so these oligomers can be characterised by mass spectrometry and used in cellular assays.
Applicants should have a recent PhD in biophysics, chemistry or biochemistry, and ideally have previous experience in working with CSF and an interest in neurodegenerative disease.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 1 years in the first instance.
