Global Sustainability Leaders Scholarship University of Reading | Undergraduate Entry 2025/26
The Global Sustainability Leaders Scholarship is an exciting new undergraduate funding opportunity designed to build a dynamic global community of future sustainability leaders. One of the UK’s largest sustainability-focused undergraduate scholarships, it supports talented students who are passionate about tackling environmental, climate, and nature-related challenges through leadership and action.
About the Scholarship
Up to 400 scholarships awarded annually (300 available for 2025 entry)
- £6,000 per year for up to four years of full-time undergraduate study
- Open to UK and international students across all academic disciplines
- Focused on students committed to advancing sustainability leadership – not limited to environmental science
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, you must:
- Be a UK or international fee-paying student
- Hold an offer for an undergraduate degree at the University of Reading for 2025/26 entry
- Achieve AAA or higher at A-level (or equivalent qualifications)
- Students eligible for contextual offers may qualify with AAB
Selection Process
Students cannot apply directly. Instead, the university will invite eligible candidates to apply based on:
- Academic performance (predicted or actual results)
- Having an offer to study at Reading (including those entering via Clearing)
- Completion of the university’s internal scholarship application form
- Application deadline (once invited): 3 September 2025

Each Global Sustainability Leader receives:

Scholarship Duration
- Up to 4 years of full-time undergraduate study at the University of Reading
How to Apply
Direct applications are not accepted
- Eligible students will be contacted by the university with an invitation to apply
- Students entering through Clearing or those who exceed predicted grades may also be considered
- If invited, complete the online application by 3 September 2025
