Special Note for Music Students

2nd cycle Master’s degrees (typically 4 semesters)
3rd cycle advanced programs (concert exam, masterclass, or artistic PhD – typically 2 semesters)
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the 2026 DAAD Master's Scholarship, applicants must:
- Have completed a first university degree (e.g., Bachelor’s) by the time the program starts
- Be applying for a Master’s/postgraduate degree or a complementary course (not an undergraduate program)
- Have obtained their last degree no more than 6 years before the application deadline
- Not have resided in Germany for more than 15 months at the time of application
- Demonstrate language proficiency in the language of instruction (German or English) as required by the host institution
- Meet the admission and age criteria set by the respective German institution

- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Academic transcripts and certificates
- Letter of Motivation
- Research proposal (if required by the program)
