Said Foundation Scholarship 2026
The Said Foundation Scholarship supports exceptional individuals with proven leadership potential who are committed to driving positive change in Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, or Palestine. The scholarship offers full funding, covering tuition fees, living and maintenance costs for the duration of the course, an arrival allowance, visa and healthcare surcharge fees, and one return economy flight.
Established in 1982 by Mr. Wafic and Mrs. Rosemary Saïd in memory of their son, the Karim Rida Saïd Foundation has, since 1984, provided scholarships and training opportunities to talented young people from its target countries. Scholars are expected to pursue academic subjects that will directly contribute to the development of their home countries.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Hold an undergraduate degree equivalent to a UK 2:1 or higher (final-year undergraduates may also apply).
- Be a national and permanent resident of Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, or Palestine. (Syrians living abroad due to current circumstances will be considered).
- Have relevant work and/or voluntary experience and a clear career path upon returning home.
- Demonstrate leadership potential in their chosen sector.
- Apply for an eligible course at a Foundation partner university (or provide valid reasons for applying to a non-partner university).
- Meet the Foundation’s and chosen university’s English language requirements.
- Upload all required documents with their application.

- Special funding arrangements for students at the University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, and for Chevening partner scholars.
Required Documents
- High school certificate.
- University transcripts and graduation certificate (or transcripts to date if still studying).
- Passport or national ID from Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, or Palestine (if dual nationality, submit relevant passport/ID).
- English language test certificate.
- Offer letter(s) or proof of application to a UK Master’s programme starting autumn 2025.
- Three reference letters (applications without these will not be considered).
- Updated CV (maximum two pages, no photo).

- Register an account and log in.
- Apply for and secure admission to a UK Master’s degree programme.
- Complete the scholarship application form and upload all required documents.
