- Craniofacial Biomechanics and Biomaterials Research (CBBR) Group (Dr. Romanyk)
The project aims to optimize manufacturing processes to enhance mechanical performance, biological compatibility, and aesthetics in dental applications. Scholars will gain hands-on experience in additive manufacturing and advanced characterization techniques.
University of Alberta Scholarship 2025: Eligibility & Application Requirements
Eligibility Criteria:
To be considered for the University of Alberta Scholarship, applicants must:
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Be willing to enroll in the MSc or PhD program at the University of Alberta
- Have a strong interest and/or experience in:
- Additive manufacturing
- Materials characterization
- Experimental methods
- Advanced modeling techniques (e.g., finite element analysis)
- Programming tools like MATLAB (an asset)
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.3
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently
- Show strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or an international student
