Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) Scholarship 2026
The Agency for Science, Technology & Research (A*STAR) is now accepting applications for the Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) Scholarship 2026. This is a fully funded opportunity for outstanding international students to pursue PhD studies and cutting-edge research in Singapore.
What is the SINGA Scholarship?
The SINGA Scholarship is a joint collaboration between:
- A*STAR (Agency for Science, Technology & Research)
- Nanyang Technological University (NTU)
- National University of Singapore (NUS)
- Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD)
Selected students will undergo PhD training in English at one of the research labs in A*STAR, NTU, NUS, or SUTD, and will be supervised by world-class researchers. Upon successful completion of the program, scholars will receive a PhD degree from either NTU, NUS, or SUTD.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered, applicants must:
- Be international graduates with a strong academic record and a passion for research
- Have good written and spoken English communication skills
- Submit strong academic referee reports
Note: A*STAR may apply additional selection criteria based on current scholarship policies, which may change without prior notice.
Scholarship Benefits
SINGA provides financial support for up to 4 years of PhD studies, including:
- Full tuition fees
- Monthly stipend of S$2,200, increased to S$2,700 after passing the Qualifying Exam
- One-time airfare grant of up to S$1,500
- One-time settling-in allowance of S$1,000

- Valid passport
- Recent passport-sized photo (.jpeg or .png format)
- Academic degree certificates
- Two recommendation reports
All academic transcripts (in English translation)
