Canadian International Development Scholarship BCDI 2030 – Now Open for Applications
The Government of Canada has officially launched the call for applications for the Canadian International Development Scholarship BCDI 2030.
This scholarship program offers students from 26 eligible countries the opportunity to study in Canada, focusing on higher education, vocational, and technical training.
Funded by Global Affairs Canada, the program is designed to meet the specific needs of partner countries and aligns with priority areas related to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Eligibility Requirements for the Canadian International Development Scholarship BCDI 2030
Unlike individual applications, eligibility for the BCDI 2030 program is based on project partnerships between a Canadian higher education institution (HEI) and an HEI from one of the 26 eligible countries.
To qualify for the Canadian International Development Scholarship BCDI 2030, applicants must:

Be a citizen of one of the 26 eligible BCDI 2030 countries.

Meet the admission and eligibility criteria of both the Canadian HEI and the partner HEI in their home country.

To apply for the BCDI 2030 Scholarship, follow these steps:

Explore BCDI 2030 Projects-Identify the available scholarship projects and connect with the designated resource persons for each project.

Apply Through BCDI International Partners-Individuals cannot apply directly to the BCDI 2030 program. Instead, applicants must apply through international partner institutions participating in the program.

Wait for the Call for Applications-Canadian HEIs and partner institutions whose projects receive funding will announce scholarship opportunities and manage the selection process.

Selection Process-Applications will be evaluated based on the selection criteria set by participating HEIs, in line with the BCDI 2030 program guidelines and admission requirements for the relevant study programs.
