The Christopher Kolade Foundation SHE Soars Scholarship offers need-based financial support and mentorship to female graduates of public secondary schools in Nigeria who have gained admission into a Nigerian public university. Valued at ₦300,000 per year, the scholarship covers tuition, books, and living expenses, making higher education accessible to girls from low-income families.
Launched in 2019, the program not only provides financial assistance but also pairs scholars with accomplished women in business and professional fields for mentorship and guidance.
Currently, the program supports 26 SHE Soars Scholars enrolled in 14 universities across Nigeria. These scholars are pursuing degrees in diverse and competitive fields such as Medicine and Surgery, Mechatronics Engineering, Physiotherapy, Aeronautics, Astronautics Engineering, Agricultural Extension, Psychology, Law, and Accounting.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Christopher Kolade Foundation SHE Soars Scholarship 2025, applicants must:
- Be female graduates of a Nigerian public secondary school.
- Have valid proof of admission into a Nigerian public tertiary institution.
Scholarship Benefits
The scholarship is valued at ₦300,000 per annum, which is intended to cover:
- Tuition fees
- Textbooks and academic materials
- A modest monthly living allowance
- The scholarship will run for the entire duration of the recipient’s course of study, typically 4 to 6 years, depending on the program.
