The WomanUp Scholarship Programme, an initiative of the Mkpouto Pius Foundation, is dedicated to empowering young Nigerian women in their academic and professional journeys. This program provides financial assistance, mentorship, and career development opportunities to outstanding female students, fostering a generation of leaders committed to societal progress and gender equality.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the WomanUp Scholarship Programme, applicants must:
- Be female
- Be a Nigerian citizen
- Have recently gained admission into a Nigerian public university (first-year students only)
- Demonstrate academic excellence
- Show financial need
- Be willing to submit monthly reports and attend monthly check-in sessions
- Participate in mentoring events
- Engage in career development activities such as conferences, fellowships, and academic publishing
Selection Process
Applicants will be assessed based on academic performance, financial need, and commitment to the program. Shortlisted candidates will undergo an online interview to determine their suitability for the scholarship.

- WAEC/NECO result
- JAMB result
- Admission letter
- Proof of nationality (NIN, Voter’s Card, International Passport, etc.)
