The Nigerian Institute for Professional Engineers and Scientists (NIPES) is delighted to announce the call for applications for the 2025 Chinwe Foundation Scholarship. This prestigious scholarship, established in partnership with Chinwe Chinonso Iwuanyanwu (Fellow, NIPES), aims to empower the next generation of scientists, engineers, and healthcare professionals across Nigeria.
Scholarship Overview
The NIPES Chinwe Foundation Scholarship awards a total of ₦1,000,000, distributed among five outstanding undergraduate students—each receiving ₦200,000. The scholarship is open to students enrolled in accredited federal, state, or private universities in Nigeria who are pursuing careers in:
- Engineering
- Science and Technology
- Medicine
- Pharmacy
- Other related disciplines
In addition to the financial award, recipients will receive free access to NIPES online courses, along with certificates of completion to boost their academic and career portfolios.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the 2025 NIPES Chinwe Foundation Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be currently enrolled in an accredited Nigerian university (federal, state, or private)
- Be studying a science, engineering, or related field
- Be in 100-level or above
- Complete at least two NIPES free online courses and discuss the skills learned in their personal statement
