Providence Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship 2025 – Now Open for African Students
The Providence Memorial Foundation is proud to announce the opening of applications for the 2025 Providence Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship, a financial aid program dedicated to supporting African students pursuing higher education in English-speaking African countries.
The scholarship awards a total of $1,000, disbursed as $250 annually over four years, to selected students to help cover tuition and academic expenses.
This initiative is designed to empower Black or African students who demonstrate strong academic performance, leadership potential, and a passion for making a positive impact in their communities.
Established in honor of Providence Ebubechi Napoleon (née Okoye), the scholarship carries forward her legacy by investing in the next generation of African changemakers.
Eligibility Criteria for the Providence Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship 2025
To be eligible for the Providence Memorial Undergraduate Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Be a Black or African student studying in an English-speaking African country

Be currently enrolled in or planning to enroll in an accredited undergraduate program

Demonstrate academic excellence and leadership potential

Show a strong commitment to community service and making a positive impact

Face financial challenges in accessing higher education

Exhibit integrity, resilience, and a dedication to both personal and academic growth
This scholarship aims to empower the next generation of African leaders by removing financial barriers and honoring the legacy of Providence Ebubechi Napoleon (née Okoye)—a woman of faith, compassion, and service.
Scholarship Benefits

Recipients may receive up to $250 per year, renewable for up to four years, based on academic performance and good conduct

Funds can be used for tuition, room, or board expenses
