Applications are now open for the Wilson and Yinka Badejo Foundation 2025 Undergraduate Scholarship for Nigerian students in public tertiary institutions.
The Legacy and Nurturing Hearts Scholarships are financial aid programs aimed at supporting academically outstanding, yet financially disadvantaged students pursuing higher education in public institutions across Nigeria. The Legacy Scholarship, established by the foundation in 2008, has been awarded to deserving students in universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education. The Nurturing Hearts Scholarship, introduced in honor of Rev. Mrs. Adeyinka Badejo, is designed to assist young females aged 18-28 who are passionate about children's ministry work.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for the Wilson and Yinka Badejo Foundation Scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Demonstrated Financial Need: Applicants must come from a less privileged background, as indicated by a short personal statement outlining their circumstances.

Academic & Personal Excellence: Applicants must have a strong academic record and exhibit good character, which can be easily verified.

Enrollment Status: Applicants must be enrolled or accepted into an accredited public tertiary institution. Note: Students in private institutions are not eligible.

Previous Beneficiaries: Individuals who have received two or more scholarships from the foundation are not eligible to reapply to ensure fairness and equal opportunity.

Multiple Applications: Applicants can apply for both the Legacy and Nurturing Hearts Scholarships, but only one award will be granted if selected.
Selection Process:

Applications will be reviewed based on financial need, academic performance, and character.

Current students must have a minimum GPA of 3.5.

A letter of recommendation is required from a cleric, head of department, course adviser, or dean of students.

JAMB admission letter (for newly admitted students)

GPA transcript (for current students)

Letter(s) of recommendation from the specified individuals.
