The OGLE COUNTY FARM BUREAU is offering six scholarships to qualified students to pursue their career in Agriculture
DEL FLESSNER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP-$1,500
The DEL FLESSNER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP will support students interested in the study of agriculture, agribusiness, or an ag-related major at any recognized university, college or community college in or outside Illinois. One $1500 scholarship will be awarded to a qualified student. This scholarship is awarded in the memory of long-time Ogle County Farm Bureau Manager, Del Flessner.
OGLE COUNTY FARM BUREAU GENERAL SCHOLARSHIPS $1000
Two scholarships of $1000 each will be awarded to qualified recipients. These scholarships will be awarded to individuals who meet all eligibility requirements and are accepted to attend an accredited university, college or community college in or outside of Illinois; and who major in a field of study related to agriculture or agribusiness.
DON BYBEE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP $1000
This is a $1000 scholarship awarded through the Farm Bureau and funded in cooperation with the Bybee family. It recognizes Mr. Bybee for his years of service as a director on the Ogle County Farm Bureau Board. Successful recipient will need to meet all eligibility requirements and demonstrate financial need.
MARK DETIG MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP $1000
A $1000 scholarship awarded annually and funded by the Farm Bureau and Ogle County
Pork Producers Association in memory of Mark Detig who served as past president and
director of the pork producers organization. Successful recipient will demonstrate a strong
background in youth activities including 4

H & FFA. AG TECHNOLOGY SCHOLARSHIP $1000
A $1000 Scholarship awarded to a student studying in an ag technology related regimen
similar to diesel mechanics, crop technician, etc.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants:
must be a high school graduate;
must be an Ogle County Farm Bureau member or dependent of a member;
must be accepted at an accredited university or college and pursue an agricultural or agricultural-related field of study; must be a resident of Illinois; and must demonstrate a financial need.
Applicants can be graduating high school seniors or students currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
Applicants successfully completed and submitted will be judged on criteria including: academic performance, demonstrated interest in agriculture, financial need and character/personality.
