2026 WIPO Young Experts Program (YEP) – Fully Funded Training in Switzerland
Applications are now open for the 2026 WIPO Young Experts Program (YEP)—a prestigious, fully funded two-year initiative designed to develop the next generation of global leaders in Intellectual Property (IP).
The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is seeking young, talented professionals with a passion for innovation, creativity, and policy to participate in this immersive learning and development opportunity at WIPO Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
Program Overview
The WIPO YEP is a two-year, on-site training and professional development program that gives 10 selected participants hands-on experience working on WIPO’s global IP projects. The program provides exposure to both technical and strategic aspects of intellectual property and fosters leadership potential to strengthen innovation ecosystems worldwide.

Program Duration: February 1, 2026 – January 31, 2028

Location: Geneva, Switzerland (remote work is not allowed)
Note: The YEP is not a pathway to employment at WIPO. Participants are not eligible to apply for jobs at WIPO during the program or within two years after its completion.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the 2026 WIPO YEP, applicants must:

Be 35 years old or younger at the time of application

Commit to a 24-month program (2026–2028)

Hold a university degree in a relevant field

Have at least 2 years of relevant work experience

Demonstrate:
-
Strong analytical, research, and organizational abilities
-
Excellent written and spoken English
-
Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Show knowledge of or experience in IP, innovation, or creativity
Program Benefits
Selected participants will receive:

A monthly stipend of CHF 5,000 (~$5,850 USD)

50% coverage of medical insurance

Travel support to Geneva
