The scholarships are worth €8,400 in grants per year to help support the costs of study and living in Europe.
Citizens of these 39 eligible countries are welcome to apply for Latvian State scholarships for studies in Latvian higher education institutions.
Eligibility Requirements for Latvia Government Scholarships 2025
To be eligible for the Latvia Government Scholarships 2025, applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Program Selection: Applicants must choose a study program at a Latvian higher education institution (HEI) before applying for the scholarship.
- Confirmation Letter: A confirmation letter from the chosen Latvian HEI must be obtained before submitting the scholarship application.
- Current Students: Applicants already studying at a Latvian HEI must also secure a confirmation letter for their current or intended study program.
- Official Approval: The confirmation letter must be provided by the designated contact person at the Latvian HEI.
- Scholarship Duration: International students can receive a Latvian state scholarship for a maximum of two academic terms during their studies.
Eligible Applicants
- Bachelor’s Students: Must have successfully completed at least one academic year at any higher education institution (HEI).
- Master’s & PhD Students: Open to students from any previous HEI.
Benefits of the Latvia Government Scholarships 2025
- €500 per month – For Bachelor’s and 2nd level professional higher education students (1st, 2nd, and 3rd year).
- €600 per month – For Master’s students and 2nd level professional higher education students (starting from the 4th year).
- €700 per month – For PhD students.
