The African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) fosters a strong foundation in essential problem-solving skills, including estimation, computation, approximation, modeling, data analysis, and statistics.
During the elective review phase, students have the opportunity to apply these skills in some of the most exciting scientific fields.
There are no registration fees for selected candidates pursuing the Master’s degree. Successful applicants will also receive full scholarships covering tuition, accommodation, meals, and travel expenses.
Requirements for the 2025 African Institute for Mathematical Sciences Scholarship
To be considered for the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences Scholarship, applicants must:
- Hold or expect to obtain by the start of AIMS training a 4-year university degree in mathematics or any science/engineering discipline with a significant mathematics component.
- Demonstrate strong skills in mathematics, leadership, and community service.
- Women are strongly encouraged to apply.
