The Aziz Foundation Scholarship is designed to support emerging leaders who are deeply committed to their communities and can demonstrate their ability to lead and inspire in their respective fields.
The scholarships are available exclusively to British Muslims with relevant experience and a dedication to advancing in the areas of Law, Journalism, Arts & Culture, Sports, Sustainability, Grantmaking, Philanthropy, and Technology.
Please note that the scholarships are only open to individuals who qualify for Home Fees status in the UK. Applications from international students will not be considered.
Eligibility Requirements for the Aziz Foundation Scholarship 2025
To be considered for the Aziz Foundation Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be eligible for Home Fees status.

Be actively involved in a Muslim community and demonstrate a deep understanding of the issues affecting British Muslim communities.

Show a long-term commitment to community or societal development within Britain.

Demonstrate how the chosen course will enhance their ability to contribute to one of the following areas related to British Muslims:

Effective Advocacy and Enhanced Public Perception: Promoting better representation and contribution of Muslims to civil society, combating Islamophobia, and transforming public perceptions of British Muslims.

Community Service and Social Development: Raising aspirations and standards within British Muslim communities.
Benefits of the Aziz Foundation Scholarship 2025
The scholarship covers 100% of the tuition fees for home-status students.
Fields of Study for the Aziz Foundation Scholarship
The Aziz Foundation Scholarship is available to British Muslims with relevant experience and a commitment to advancing in the following areas:

Media & Journalism: Candidates who aim to champion diversity in the media, ensuring fairer and more accurate reporting.

Technology: Innovators who use technology to offer novel and transformational solutions to society's most pressing challenges.

Sustainability/Environment: Candidates who aspire to lead the fight for environmental sustainability and create a safer future for generations to come.

Law: Candidates who aspire to excel in the legal profession, particularly those interested in becoming judges (excluding conversion courses).

Policy: Individuals passionate about influencing public policy in the UK (excluding Health Policy), ensuring it is equitable and responsive to the needs of British Muslim communities.

Arts & Culture: Creatives who seek to influence public discourse, particularly around Muslims and Islam, through various mediums.

Sports: Candidates enthusiastic about sporting excellence, with the potential to make significant contributions through administration and management.
Please note that applications will not be accepted for science, health policy, or mathematics courses.
How to Apply for the Aziz Foundation Scholarship 2025 (Step-by-Step)
Applications for the Aziz Foundation Scholarship are submitted online.
The application form will ask for details about your previous education, work experience, financial situation, and a statement (of no more than 1,000 words) explaining how you meet the Foundation’s criteria. You will also need to provide the names of two referees.
If your application is shortlisted, you will be invited for an interview.
The interview, lasting 30-45 minutes, will cover topics such as:

Your vision and hopes for change.

The personal qualities needed to succeed.

The financial barriers you have faced.
