Central Queensland University RTP Scholarship 2025
The Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship at Central Queensland University (CQUniversity), funded by the Australian Government, is now open to international students aspiring to study in Australia. This scholarship provides up to A$36,000 annually to support living expenses while pursuing a Research Higher Degree (RHD).
The RTP Stipend Scholarships aim to support domestic and international students enrolled in eligible postgraduate research programs by alleviating financial stress and enabling them to focus on their research.

- Annual stipend: Up to A$36,000, awarded for a three-year period
- Full tuition coverage for the duration of the research program
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Central Queensland University RTP Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited Masters by Research or PhD program at CQUniversity
- Be either a domestic student or an international student
- Not be receiving income from another source that supports general living costs
- Not hold another equivalent Commonwealth-funded scholarship designed to offset RHD tuition fees
- Meet the English language proficiency requirements set by CQUniversity
Selection Criteria
This is a competitive, merit-based scholarship. Applicants are assessed based on a Scholarship Assessment Scale across three categories:
- Academic achievement and writing skills – up to 20 points
- Quality of research project and alignment with CQUniversity’s research priorities – up to 15 points
- Motivation, research experience, and research environment suitability – up to 15 points
