Embassy of France Master’s Scholarships for Ugandan Students (2025/2026)
The Embassy of France in Uganda is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the 2025/2026 Master’s Scholarships. These scholarships are intended for young Ugandan graduates who hold a Bachelor’s degree in one of the specified fields and wish to pursue a Master’s degree in France, at a public university, in either English or French.
Eligible Fields of Study
Applicants must intend to pursue a Master’s degree in one of the following disciplines:
- Agriculture
- Sustainable Development
- Tourism / Leisure
- Gender Studies
- Economics
- Engineering
- Business Administration
- French Language
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of Uganda
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in one of the eligible fields before the application deadline
- Have studied French at any point during their education
Selection Process
- 15th – 30th June 2025: All applications will be reviewed by the Embassy. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.
- 15th July 2025: Final results will be announced. All applicants will receive feedback.
Scholarship Benefits
The scholarship offers comprehensive support, including:
- Round-trip airfare between Uganda and France
- Full tuition coverage at a French public university
- Visa fee waiver and CVEC fee coverage
- Monthly living stipend
- Health insurance: 70% covered by the French government, 30% by Campus France
- Priority access to subsidized student accommodation
- Support with administrative formalities
- Opportunities for cultural enrichment and networking
How to Apply
Required Documents:
- A cover letter
- A copy of a valid ID
- A copy of your Bachelor’s degree certificate
- Proof of application or admission to a recognized French public university (application confirmation or admission letter)
Note: You must independently identify and apply to your chosen French university before submitting your scholarship application. Proof of university admission is mandatory to complete the selection process.
