The TaiwanICDF Scholarship offers fully funded opportunities for international students pursuing undergraduate, graduate, and Ph.D. programs in collaboration with prestigious universities in Taiwan. This government-sponsored scholarship covers airfare, accommodation, tuition, and provides a monthly stipend of NT$20,000.
The TaiwanICDF Scholarship aims to foster socio-economic development in partner countries by nurturing highly skilled professionals. Additionally, the program promotes the internationalization of Taiwan’s universities and broadens the global outlook of Taiwanese youth.
Taiwan ICDF Scholarship 2025 Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for the Government of Taiwan Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Be a citizen of a country listed as eligible for the TaiwanICDF Scholarship and fulfill any additional criteria set by their home country or government.

Not hold Republic of China (Taiwan) nationality or be classified as an overseas compatriot student.

Meet the admission requirements of the partner university they are applying to under the TaiwanICDF Scholarship.

Fulfill all visa requirements for a Resident Visa (Code: FS) as stipulated by the Bureau of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and obtain an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) as required by the Ministry of the Interior of Taiwan. Failure to meet visa requirements may result in the revocation of the scholarship.
Taiwan ICDF Scholarship 2025: Duration and Benefits
The TaiwanICDF Scholarship provides comprehensive financial support covering airfare, accommodation, tuition, credit fees, insurance, textbook costs, and a monthly living allowance for the duration of the award period.
Scholarship Benefits:

Airfare: Round-trip economy-class tickets will be arranged for the most direct route to and from Taiwan.

Housing: All recipients are required to reside in student dormitories.

Tuition Fees: The TaiwanICDF will fully cover tuition fees as required by the university.

Credit Fees: The scholarship covers credit fees based on the number of registered credits, as determined by the university.

Insurance: Students will receive comprehensive insurance, including mandatory student safety insurance set by the Ministry of Education and additional accident and medical coverage for the program duration.

Textbooks: The cost of required textbooks will be covered upon approval by the director of the student’s institute.

Monthly Allowance:

Undergraduate Program: NT$15,000 per month for living expenses.

Master’s Program: NT$18,000 per month for living expenses.

Ph.D. Program: NT$20,000 per month for living expenses.
The allowance will be deposited monthly into the student's local bank account.
Required Documents for Taiwan ICDF Scholarship
Applicants for undergraduate programs must be citizens of ROC (Taiwan) allied countries. The required documents include:

A photocopy of the applicant’s passport or proof of nationality.

A photocopy of the highest academic diploma and transcripts.

A photocopy of the English proficiency certificate.

Two letters of reference.
Any additional documents required by the ROC (Taiwan) Embassy, Consulate General, or Representative Office.
