IsDB Scholarship Programs
IsDB Scholarship Program for Muslim Communities in Non-Member Countries (SPMC)
Launched in 1983, this program supports academically gifted yet financially disadvantaged Muslim students in non-member countries.
Provides funding for undergraduate studies in medicine, engineering, computer sciences, IT, agriculture, and related fields.
Students can study in their home country or an IsDB Member Country
IsDB Master of Science (M.Sc.) Scholarship Program
Established in 1998, this program focuses on science and technology to enhance human capital development in 20 Least Developed Member Countries (LDMCs).
IsDB Merit Scholarship Program for High Technology (MSP)
Since 1992, this program has supported Ph.D. (3 years) and post-doctoral research (6-12 months) in 16 high-tech fields essential for economic growth.
IsDB-ISFD Scholarship Program
Introduced in 2019, in collaboration with the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD).
Aims to reduce poverty by funding bachelor’s degrees or technical diplomas in medicine, engineering, agriculture, and related fields.
Available for students from 21 Least Developed Member Countries (LDMCs), enabling them to study at public institutions in their home country or another IsDB member country.

Eligibility Requirements for IsDB Scholarship Program 2025
To qualify for the IsDB Scholarship Program 2025, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Financial Need – Must require financial assistance to continue studies.
- Age Limit –
- Undergraduate: Maximum age of 24 years
- Master’s: Maximum age of 30 years
- PhD: Maximum age of 35 years
- Postdoctoral: Maximum age of 40 years
- Employment Restrictions – Applicants must not be an IsDB staff member, Executive Director, or a close relative (by blood or adoption) of an IsDB staff member.
- Educational Background – Must have completed senior secondary education (approximately 12 years of schooling) with good grades in major science subjects.
- Language Proficiency – Applicants must provide proof of proficiency in the university’s language of instruction (supported by official documentation or certificates).
- Document Translation – If documents are in a language other than English or French, certified translations must be provided.
- Medical Fitness – Must be medically fit and willing to undergo a medical examination upon selection.
- Admission Requirement – Preference is given to candidates who have secured admission in one of the eligible disciplines at a recognized university in their home country.
- Residency Requirement – Must not be residing in a country other than their home country.
- No Other Scholarships – Applicants must not be recipients of any other scholarship at the time of application or during their studies.
