Kazakhstan Government Scholarship 2025 Now Open for International Students
The Kazakhstan Government Scholarship 2025, administered by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, is now open for applications from international students interested in pursuing Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD degrees at leading universities in Kazakhstan.
This fully funded scholarship covers:
- Full tuition fees
- A monthly stipend to support living expenses
The program is open to foreign nationals, including individuals of Kazakh origin who are not citizens of Kazakhstan, and is available for full-time study at all academic levels.
A total of 550 scholarships will be awarded across various academic disciplines, aiming to promote academic excellence, global collaboration, and cultural exchange.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the Kazakhstan Government Scholarship 2025, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a citizen of any country other than Kazakhstan
- Individuals residing in Kazakhstan without Kazakh citizenship are also eligible
- Possess a high school certificate (for undergraduate applicants) or a university degree (for Master’s/PhD applicants)
- Undergraduate applicants must have strong academic records
- For Master’s and PhD programs, a minimum GPA of 2.33 out of 4.0 is required
- Demonstrate proficiency in English, German, or French
Language certificates are not required if one of these is the official language of your country

Required Documents
Applicants must prepare the following documents:
- A copy of your passport or national ID
- A certificate or diploma from the most recently completed level of education
- Academic transcript(s)
- A motivation essay written in Kazakh, Russian, or English
- One letter of recommendation from a former academic institution or employer (in Kazakh, Russian, or English)
- A medical certificate confirming overall fitness for studying abroad, including proof of being free from HIV/AIDS (issued by a recognized health authority in your country)
- (Optional) An invitation letter from a university in Kazakhstan (if available)
