Khalifa University Graduate Scholarship 2025 – Fully Funded Master’s and PhD Programs
Applications are now open for the 2025 Khalifa University Spring Postgraduate Admission for Master’s programs. The Khalifa University Graduate Scholarship offers a fully funded opportunity for eligible students to pursue postgraduate degrees (Master’s or PhD) at one of the leading research-focused institutions in the UAE.
The scholarship covers full tuition fees, a monthly stipend of up to 40,000 AED (~$10,890 USD), as well as support for books, medical insurance, airfare, visa costs, and more.
Scholarship Overview
Khalifa University of Science and Technology provides comprehensive graduate scholarships to outstanding students, both domestic and international. All applicants are automatically considered for scholarships as part of the admissions process—no separate scholarship application is required.
Applicants are assessed and mapped to specific scholarship tiers (full-time or part-time) based on academic merit and other factors aligned with the university’s strategic priorities. Meeting the eligibility requirements does not guarantee a scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria for Khalifa University Scholarship 2025
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Academic Qualifications:
- For direct PhD admission: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0
- For Master’s programs: Completion of a Master’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.25 out of 4.0
English Language Proficiency:
- TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 91
- IELTS (Academic): Minimum score of 6.5
- EmSAT English: Minimum score of 1550
GRE Score:
- Minimum quantitative score of 150
- Applicants must attempt all three sections
Other Requirements:
- Two referee recommendations (submitted via online form)
- Statement of Purpose (500–1,000 words)
- Research Statement (PhD only, 500–1,000 words)
- Admission interview
Scholarship Benefits (Tier-Based)
Depending on the scholarship tier awarded, benefits may include:
- Full tuition coverage
- Monthly stipend of up to 20,000 AED, with an additional 20,000 AED subject to performance and approval
- Textbooks provided by the university
- Support for international research conference attendance
- Medical insurance for full-time international students
- Round-trip airfare (home country to Abu Dhabi) for international students, subject to approval
- UAE visa fees covered
- Post-graduation service obligation: A commitment to work with Khalifa University or a designated organization for a period equal to the duration of study
