Belgium Government Master Mind Scholarships 2026 for International Students
The Master Mind Scholarships, funded by the Government of Flanders (Belgium), are awarded to outstanding international students pursuing a Master’s degree in Flanders or Brussels. The program seeks to position Flanders and Brussels as premier study destinations for talented students worldwide. Each Master Mind Scholarship includes:
- A €10,000 grant per academic year to support living expenses
- A full tuition fee waiver (students only pay a minimal administrative enrolment fee)
- Coverage for accommodation, insurance, and a substantial portion of daily living costs
- The grant is disbursed in instalments throughout the academic year.
Program Duration
- One academic year for Master’s programs worth 60 ECTS credits
- Two academic years for Master’s programs worth 120 ECTS credits
Eligibility Requirements for the Master Mind Scholarship 2025
To be considered for the 2025 Master Mind Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Apply for a Master’s degree program at a Flemish higher education institution in Belgium.
- Demonstrate outstanding academic performance, with a minimum GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 (or equivalent).
- Show proficiency in English. Specific language requirements vary by institution (refer to the official website for details).
- Be accepted by the Flemish host institution. Note: This acceptance may occur after the Master Mind selection, but is still required.
- Be nominated by only one Flemish institution. If preselected by multiple institutions, the applicant must choose one to proceed with.
- Hold a previous degree from a higher education institution outside Flanders.
- Be of any nationality except Russian.
- Students already enrolled in a Flemish institution are not eligible to apply.

Step 1:

Apply to the Host Institution
Submit your application directly to the Flemish higher education institution of your choice.

Preselection by the Institution

Step 4:
Nomination Process Begins
If preselected, the institution will create your application profile in the Mobility-Online application portal.
Step 5:
Email Notification
You will receive an automated email from the Mobility-Online system informing you of your preselection for the scholarship.
Step 6:
Complete Your Application
Log in to the Mobility-Online portal and complete your scholarship application. Upload all required documents before the deadline.
Step 7:
Final Submission by the Institution
Your host institution will validate and submit your complete application before the official deadline:
