Romanian Government ARICE Scholarship 2025 – Now Open for Applications
The Romanian Agency for Investments and Foreign Trade (ARICE) is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the 2025 ARICE Scholarship Program.
This fully funded scholarship offers international students the opportunity to pursue their studies in Romania, covering tuition fees, accommodation, and living expenses throughout the duration of their academic program.
ARICE will award 40 scholarships to outstanding foreign applicants for the 2025–2026 academic year.

Eligibility Criteria – Romanian Government ARICE Scholarship 2025
To be eligible for the 2025 ARICE Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a foreign national, preferably from a country outside the European Union (EU) and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA).
- Possess the required academic qualifications to apply for a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program.
- Be eligible to enroll in a Romanian language preparatory course, if they do not already speak Romanian.
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants will receive comprehensive support, including:
- Exemption from application and registration fees.
- Full tuition coverage for the Romanian language preparatory year.
- Full tuition coverage for the entire duration of the selected academic program.
- Monthly stipend for students in both the preparatory year and subsequent academic studies (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD).
- Free accommodation in university dormitories.
- Access to medical assistance for emergencies and endemic-epidemic diseases.
- Free local and national public transportation, including bus, rail, metro, and ferry transport within Romania.
Required Documents
Applicants must prepare and submit the following documents:
- Completed Application Form
- Letter of Recommendation
- Copies of Academic Diplomas (High School, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate, if applicable) – in Romanian, English, or French
- Academic Transcripts – authenticated and translated into Romanian, English, or French
- Signed Declaration stating that the applicant has not received another Romanian government scholarship for the same academic level
- Birth Certificate
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Original Medical Certificate
- Photocopy of National ID with a legalized translation
- Copy of Passport (first two pages) – must be valid for at least 6 months after the program start date
- Two recent passport-sized photographs.
