University of Aberdeen Postgraduate Scholarship for Nigerian Students 2025

Scholarship Summary
This scholarship opportunity covers:
- Full tuition fees
- One economy return flight ticket from Nigeria to the UK
- A contribution toward living expenses during the study period
Eligible Courses
Applicants must be applying to one of the following postgraduate taught programmes at the University of Aberdeen:
- MSc Geophysics
- MSc Integrated Petroleum Geoscience
- MSc Safety & Reliability Engineering for Oil & Gas
- MSc Advanced Chemical Engineering
- MSc Data Science
- MSc Renewable Energy Engineering
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be ordinarily resident in Rivers, Delta, Imo, or Bayelsa State, Nigeria
- Be currently living in Nigeria and plan to return after completing their studies
- Hold (or expect to hold) a Bachelor’s degree equivalent to a UK Upper Second Class Honours
- Be aged 21–28 years by 30th September 2025
- Have completed their National Youth Service (NYSC) by September 2025
- Have no previous study experience in the UK or another developed country
- Demonstrate leadership potential and intellectual ability
- Have a valid Nigerian international passport (valid through December 2026)
- Meet the English language requirement (minimum IELTS score of 6.5)
- Not be current or recent employees (within the last 5 years) of Renaissance Africa Energy Company or the University of Aberdeen
Application Process
- Apply for admission to an eligible postgraduate programme at the University of Aberdeen
- Ensure you meet all English language and academic requirements
- Complete the scholarship application form

- Applications will be reviewed by the university, and shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews with Renaissance before final selection.
