Poland Government Stefan Banach Scholarship 2025 – Fully Funded Master’s Opportunity for Developing Countries
The Poland Government Stefan Banach Scholarship Programme 2025 is now open for applications! This prestigious initiative, jointly organized by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), offers fully funded Master’s (second-cycle) studies in English or Polish at top public universities in Poland.
Purpose of the Scholarship
The Banach Scholarship aims to promote the socio-economic development of eligible developing countries by equipping students with advanced education and skills. It is part of Poland’s commitment to international development and cooperation through education.
In 2025, the Banach Scholarship has been merged with the Lukasiewicz Scholarship, streamlining support for talented young people from outside Europe and Central Asia who are eager to pursue a Master’s degree in Poland.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Stefan Banach Scholarship 2025, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of one of the eligible developing countries
- Not hold Polish citizenship and not be in the process of acquiring it
- Intend to begin a Master’s program in the 2025/26 academic year
- Demonstrate proficiency in English or Polish, depending on the language of instruction
Scholarship Benefits
The scholarship provides comprehensive support, including:
- Full tuition fee waiver at public Polish universities
- Monthly stipend as follows:
- PLN 1,700/month during the preparatory course (if applicable)
- PLN 1,500/month during second-cycle (Master’s) studie
- Additional one-time payments:
- An extra PLN 500 in the first month of your first academic year
- An extra PLN 500 in the final month of your final academic year
In the case of serious unforeseen circumstances, an additional one-time PLN 500 may be granted upon written request
