The University of Glasgow has opened applications for the African Excellence Scholarship for the 2025/2026 academic session.
This scholarship offers full tuition fee coverage for up to 15 outstanding international students from Africa who are enrolling in a one-year postgraduate taught Master's programme in any discipline.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must hold an offer for a postgraduate taught Master's programme starting in September 2025.
- While an offer is not required at the time of application, candidates must have one to be considered for an interview.
- Applicants should be mindful of programme-specific application deadlines as outlined on the university’s website.
Eligibility Requirements for the 2025 University of Glasgow African Excellence Award
To be eligible for the University of Glasgow African Excellence Award, applicants must:
- Demonstrate academic excellence, achieving grades equivalent to a UK 1st Class Honours.
- Hold International fee status.
- Be domiciled in Africa.
- Show a clear career and/or development plan supported by Master’s level study (outlined in the application form).
- Provide evidence of meeting UKVI maintenance/living costs by June 30, 2025 (only applicable if offered the scholarship after a successful interview).
- Be a student, alumni, or staff member of one of the University of Glasgow’s partner institutions in Africa.
