University of Malta Master’s Scholarship 2025 – Fully Funded

The University of Malta invites applications for a fully funded Master’s by Research scholarship open to both domestic and international students. This scholarship includes full tuition fee coverage and a living stipend of €6,000 for one academic year.

Investigating Malta’s Recent Seismic Activity and Development of Novel Tools for Earthquake Analysis
Project Lead: Dr. Matthew Agius
Training includes the use of specialized software such as SeisComP and ISOLA for earthquake detection and analysis.

Scholarship Benefits

Monthly stipend of €500 for 12 months (€6,000 total)
Full tuition coverage for the first year (up to €400 for local candidates)
Hands-on training and research experience in a cutting-edge geoscience project

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the University of Malta Master’s Scholarship 2025, applicants must:

Meet the entry requirements for the M.Sc. in Geosciences as defined by University of Malta regulations
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields:

Geosciences
Physics
Earth Systems
Mathematics
Statistics

(Applicants with degrees in other science disciplines, earth-related studies, or IT may also be considered)

Demonstrate programming proficiency (preferred)
Final-year undergraduate students may apply, provided they complete their degree requirements before enrollment

Contact details (including emails) of two referees

Note: International applicants must provide certified English translations of all academic documents.
