University of Sussex Sanctuary Scholarship 2025 (Fully Funded, UK)
The University of Sussex offers the fully funded Sanctuary Scholarship for 2025, providing an excellent opportunity for forced migrants to pursue a Master’s degree in the UK. This scholarship covers the full Overseas tuition fee and offers a £16,440 annual stipend to help with living costs. Additionally, recipients receive free Sussexsport membership.
The University of Sussex has been recognised as a University of Sanctuary for its commitment to supporting and welcoming forced migrants. Through this scholarship, the university helps students who are unable to access government student loans to take up their place at Sussex.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the University of Sussex Sanctuary Scholarship 2025, applicants must:
- Have received an offer to study a Master’s degree at the University of Sussex starting in September 2025.
- Have submitted (or be the dependent of someone who has submitted) an application to the UK Home Office for recognition as a refugee; or
- Have been granted a temporary form of leave to remain in the UK (e.g., limited leave to remain, humanitarian protection) and be ineligible for funding from Student Finance England; or
- Be the partner/child of an asylum seeker or an unaccompanied asylum-seeking child.
- Have a household income below £35,000.
- Be unable to access UK government student financial support due to current immigration status.
Scholarship Benefits
Recipients of the University of Sussex Sanctuary Scholarship 2025 will receive:
- Full waiver of Overseas tuition fees
- £16,440 per year for living expenses
- Free Sussexsport membership
