The University of Sydney is now accepting applications for its prestigious Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship (VCIS). This is an exciting opportunity for outstanding international students to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degrees in Australia.
This scholarship offers up to $40,000 to support your studies at the University of Sydney. It is awarded upon commencement of your degree and is not renewable in subsequent years.

Scholarship Value & Duration
Four scholarship amounts are offered, based on your academic ranking:

$40,000 — paid over one year in two equal instalments (one per semester)

Eligibility Criteria (2025)
To be eligible, you must:

Be an international student

Have applied for, but not yet commenced, a bachelor’s or coursework master’s degree at the University of Sydney (CRICOS-registered and delivered onshore)

Receive an unconditional offer of admission by the relevant closing date
