About The Scholarship: The Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships Program is available to Graduate students who are seeking financial support to pursue your first doctoral degree (or combined MA/PhD or MD/PhD). It is important to note that only the PhD portion of a combined degree is eligible for funding. This means that this scholarship is for PhD programs. The scholarship is open to both Canadian citizens, permanent residents of Canada and foreign students pursuing a doctoral degree at eligible Canadian universities. This scholarship was designed to underscore Canada's ability to attract and retain world-class doctoral students and present Canada as a global centre of excellence in research and higher learning. Value of Scholarship: $50,000 per year for three years.
