2017 MSc Studentship: Resident in Anaesthesia & Analgesia

The position

This is a Residency position in a training programme approved by the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia and lasting 3 years, subject to satisfactory annual review of progress. The resident will join the team providing the clinical anaesthetic service for large and small animal patients and be involved with teaching veterinary and veterinary nurse undergraduates. You will be expected to study for the ECVAA diploma in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgsia. You will also undertake one or more clinical research projects and be expected to submit for publication, manuscripts based on these during the programme. The MSc in Veterinary Science will develop your clinical research skills and enhance universally important skills such as scientific writing, critical reading and statistical analysis of data.

Candidate requirements

 The Resident will be expected to undertake informal group teaching of undergraduate students undertaking rotations and a small amount of formal teaching. The position carries responsibilities for out of hours duties on a rota basis.

You must be a member (or eligible to become a member) of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons with 1 year in a recognized internship. You must satisfy the English Language requirements for the Masters in Veterinary Science program (http://www.bristol.ac.uk/study/language-requirements/profile-a/).
