2017 MSc Studentship: Resident in Neurology

The position

This is a Residency position in a training programme approved by the European College of Veterinary Neurology and lasting 3 years, subject to satisfactory annual review of progress. The main function of the appointee will be to join the neurology department at Langford Vets to assist in providing a referral service in neurology and neurosurgery as well as some clinical teaching of final year veterinary students.

Training will be provided in all aspects of case management, including allocated time with internal medicine, anaesthesia, diagnostic imaging and ophthalmology departments; either within the department or as externships.

The MSc in Veterinary Science will develop your clinical research skills and enhance universally important skills such as scientific writing, critical reading and statistical analysis of data.

Candidate requirements

The Resident will be expected to undertake informal group teaching of undergraduate students undertaking rotations and a small amount of formal teaching. The position carries responsibilities for out of hours duties on a 1:4 basis.

You must be a member (or eligible to become a member) of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons with 1 year in a recognized internship. You must satisfy the English Language requirements for the Masters in Veterinary Science program (http://www.bristol.ac.uk/study/language-requirements/profile-a/).
