Dr. Mustafa Mohamad’s research group at the University of Calgary is inviting applications for funded MS, PhD, and Postdoctoral positions in the areas of data-driven methods, uncertainty quantification, and scientific machine learning applied to energy systems and environmental monitoring.
The research group is at the forefront of developing next-generation technologies to support a renewable hydrogen economy, leveraging cutting-edge algorithms and technological advancements.

Eligibility Requirements for the University of Calgary Graduate Scholarship
To be considered for the University of Calgary Graduate Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a self-motivated individual with expertise in computational methods, applied mathematics, optimization, statistics & probability, machine learning, dynamical systems, and programming.
- PhD applicants must hold or be in the process of completing a Master’s degree before admission.
- MS applicants must have an undergraduate degree with a competitive GPA.
- Only candidates with strong academic records will be considered. Applications are welcome from both Canadian and international institutions.
- The research group is particularly interested in candidates with a solid background in one or more of the following fields:
- Probability & statistics
- Applied mathematics
- Combustion science
- Computational science
