Apply for the Fully Funded Seoul National University Graduate Scholarships 2026
Seize the opportunity to study in South Korea through the fully funded Seoul National University (SNU) Scholarships. These scholarships are available to newly admitted graduate students and cover full tuition fees, along with a monthly living stipend of up to 2,000,000 KRW.
Overview of Seoul National University Scholarship Programs
SNU offers a variety of graduate scholarships aimed at supporting talented international students:
- SNU President Fellowship Program (SPF)
- Graduate Scholarship for Excellent Foreign Students (GSFS)
- Korean Government Scholarship Program (KGSP) (now known as GKS)
- Overseas Koreans Scholarship
Applicants can apply for these scholarships before or during the admissions process.
Eligibility Requirements
1. Graduate Scholarship for Excellent Foreign Students (GSFS)
- Must be a non-Korean national
- Must be a graduate or final-year student from an eligible country
- Must apply and be accepted into an SNU graduate program
- Must apply for a designated college/school participating in GSFS
2. SNU President Fellowship Program (SPF)
- Must be a faculty member at a major university in a developing country
- Must not yet hold a Ph.D.
- Must be newly admitted to an SNU Ph.D. program
- Priority given to applicants from Asia, Africa, and South America
Scholarship Benefits
SNU President Fellowship (SPF):
- Full tuition exemption (up to 6 semesters)
- Monthly stipend: 1,500,000 – 2,000,000 KRW (for 3–4 years)
- Round-trip economy airfare
- Korean language evening classes
- National health insurance reimbursement
Graduate Scholarship for Excellent Foreign Students (GSFS):
- Full tuition waiver (up to 4 semesters)
- Monthly stipend: minimum 500,000 KRW (varies by major)
Overseas Koreans Scholarship:
- Full tuition exemption (up to 4 semesters, conditional)
- Monthly stipend: 900,000 KRW
- One round-trip airfare
- Korean language training (6 months, free)
- Private medical insurance
Korean Government Scholarship Program (KGSP/GKS):
- Full tuition coverage
- Monthly living allowance
- Airfare (round-trip)
- Korean language training
- Health insurance, research and thesis support, settlement & return expenses

To apply for the SNU Graduate Scholarships:

- Submit your application for admission—scholarship applications (GSFS & SPF) are processed concurrently with admissions.
- Respective colleges/schools will review admission documents and select recipients.
- Selected candidates will be notified by their department or college.
