The Korean Government Scholarship Program (KGSP) is an annual initiative that provides international students with the opportunity to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD degrees at top Korean universities.
For 2025, the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) program aims to award full scholarships to outstanding international students from 156 countries, supporting both undergraduate and graduate studies in South Korea.
Applicants can apply through two pathways:
University Track – Admits 280 international students directly through participating Korean universities.
Embassy Track – Accepts 87 students, selected through Korean embassies in respective countries.
2025 Global Korea Scholarship Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the Korean Government Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Citizenship
Both the candidate and their parents must hold non-Korean citizenship.
Age

KGSP-G (Graduate Program): Applicants must be under 40 years old.

KGSP-U (Undergraduate Program): Applicants must be under 25 years old.
Health
Applicants must be physically and mentally fit for studying in Korea.
Degree Requirements

KGSP-G: Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

KGSP-U: Applicants must have completed high school or its equivalent.
Grades
A cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 80% or higher, or 2.64/4.0, 2.80/4.3, 2.91/4.5, or 3.23/5.0 or above.
