LSHTM First Generation Scholarship for Distance Learning (2025-26)

The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is offering two scholarships to support students pursuing an MSc degree through distance learning in the 2025-26 academic year.

The LSHTM First Generation Scholarship is open to applicants who plan to enroll in an LSHTM distance learning program. This initiative aims to support talented students from historically underrepresented groups in postgraduate education, helping them study, feel a sense of belonging, and succeed at LSHTM.

Since 1998, LSHTM has been delivering online learning programs, providing flexible study options that allow students to learn at their own pace, regardless of their circumstances.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the LSHTM First Generation Scholarship, applicants must:

Meet the minimum English language requirements.
Hold an offer of admission by March 28, 2025.
Have an offer of admission for the 2025-26 academic year in one of LSHTM’s six distance learning MSc programs.
Be the first in their family to enter higher education, meaning neither biological, adoptive, foster parents, nor guardians hold a university degree.
Not already hold a Master’s degree or a higher qualification.

Scholarship Benefits

Covers full tuition fees for the selected MSc program.
Recipients are expected to complete their program within five years of registration.
