NDDC Local Masters Scholarship 2025 | Fully Funded Opportunity for Niger Delta Indigenes
The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is inviting applications for its fully funded Local Masters Scholarship Programme. This initiative is designed to empower qualified Nigerian students from the Niger Delta region by providing access to postgraduate education within Nigeria.
About the NDDC Local Masters Scholarship
The goal of the NDDC Local Masters Scholarship is to build human capacity and equip Niger Deltans with advanced training and skills required for meaningful participation in the Federal Government’s Local Content initiatives and to position them for global competitiveness across various professional fields.
This scholarship is part of NDDC’s broader commitment to sustainable development in the Niger Delta. The Commission was established to address the socio-economic challenges of the region and promote long-term stability, economic growth, and ecological regeneration.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the NDDC Local Masters Postgraduate Scholarship, applicants must:
Be an indigene of one of the Niger Delta states:

Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Imo, Ondo, and Rivers
-
Be no older than 40 years at the time of application

Possess either:
-
A First Class, Second Class Upper, or Lower Bachelor’s Degree
-
Or an HND with at least Upper Credit, plus a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
Eligible Fields of Study
Applicants must hold relevant academic backgrounds in any of the following disciplines:

Engineering

Geosciences
-
Medical Sciences
-
Agricultural Sciences
-
Environmental Sciences
-
Information & Communication Technology (ICT)

Law
-
Management Sciences
-
Education
-
Humanities

Upon submission, a registration number will be automatically generated—ensure you print the acknowledgment slip for reference.
