Singapore A*STAR Graduate Scholarship 2025 Fully Funded PhD Opportunity
The A*STAR Graduate Academy is now inviting applications from outstanding international students for the prestigious A*STAR Graduate Scholarship (AGS) 2025 to pursue fully funded PhD or EngD studies in Singapore.
This scholarship covers full tuition fees, provides a generous monthly living allowance, annual return airfare, and additional support such as book, computer, thesis, and conference allowances. AGS scholars will also get the chance to undertake an overseas attachment of up to 12 months during their studies.
After graduation, scholars can further enhance their research careers by applying for the A*STAR International Fellowship (AIF), which supports postdoctoral training at top global universities and research centers.
Eligibility Criteria for A*STAR Graduate Scholarship 2025
To be considered, applicants must:
- Be Singaporeans or international students (all nationalities are welcome).
- Non-Singaporeans must have completed (or be on track to complete) a degree at a Singapore autonomous university.
- Meet the admission criteria for a PhD or EngD program at an autonomous university in Singapore.
- Hold (or be on track to earn) at least a Second Upper-Class Honours (2:1) degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
- Final-year undergraduate students are encouraged to apply but must achieve the minimum required results to be awarded the scholarship.
- Demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing a research career.
Scholarship Benefits
Successful AGS 2025 scholars will receive support for up to 4 years, including:
- Full tuition fee coverage
- Monthly stipend (inclusive of CPF contribution where applicable)
- Additional allowances:

- Computer allowance
- Conference allowance
- Thesis allowance
- Funding for up to 12 months of overseas research attachment
