The Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) is a prestigious scholarship program designed for international students pursuing a PhD in science and engineering. It is a collaborative initiative between:
- Agency for Science, Technology & Research (A*STAR)
- Nanyang Technological University (NTU)
- National University of Singapore (NUS)
- Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD)
Program Details
- PhD training is conducted in English at A*STAR Research Institutes, NTU, NUS, or SUTD.
- Scholars will work under the guidance of renowned researchers in state-of-the-art laboratories.
- Upon successful completion, candidates will receive a PhD degree from either NTU, NUS, or SUTD.
Eligibility Criteria for the Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) 2025
To qualify for the SINGA Scholarship 2025, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Open to international graduates with a strong academic background and a passion for research.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Strong recommendations from academic referees.
- Additional eligibility criteria may apply based on A*STAR’s policies, which are subject to updates.
Benefits of the SINGA Scholarship 2025
Successful candidates will receive financial support for up to four years of PhD studies, including:
- Full tuition coverage
- Monthly stipend of S$2,200, increasing to S$2,700 after passing the Qualifying Examination
- One-time airfare grant of up to S$1,500
- One-time settling-in allowance of S$1,000
