The Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) Scholarship 2025 offers a fully funded opportunity for international students to pursue higher education in Germany.
The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) is a political foundation rooted in Christian democratic values, dedicated to promoting democracy, the rule of law, social and market-economic structures, and human rights both in Europe and globally.
Upon completing their studies in Germany, KAS expects its scholars to actively contribute to fostering strong relations between their home country and the Federal Republic of Germany.
Eligibility Requirements for the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Scholarship
To be considered for the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Hold a university degree (Note: support is not provided for bachelor’s studies).

Demonstrate above-average academic performance.

Possess a B2-level proficiency in the German language.

Be actively involved in voluntary work.

Plan to study for at least four semesters at a university in Germany.

Have a broad general education and a strong interest in political issues.

Show a positive attitude towards democracy and human rights.

Be open to developing personal viewpoints and practicing tolerance.

Be highly motivated and able to clearly communicate your goals in life.
Benefits:

Graduates (master's or postgraduate students) receive a monthly scholarship of €934, while Ph.D. students receive €1,400 per month.

Additionally, fees for university courses in Germany directly related to your studies can be refunded up to €1,500 per semester.

The scholarship also covers other expenses such as family allowance, child allowance, and travel allowances.
Required Documents for the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Scholarship
To apply, candidates must submit the following documents:

A comprehensive CV in tabular form, including details of your previous voluntary work or social commitment.

A motivation letter.

Copies of your examination certificates with German translations if the originals are not in English.

Copies of your academic performance records if you have previously studied at a university in Germany.

Proof of German language skills (B2 level).

An informal academic letter of recommendation.

An informal letter of recommendation regarding the applicant’s personality.

Certificate of admission or matriculation from your university in Germany.
If you are applying for a Ph.D. Scholarship, please include the following additional documents:

A detailed description of your doctoral thesis.

A second academic letter of recommendation.
-
A confirmation of supervision from your doctoral supervisor.
