About the Program
The Digital Farming Lab, led by Dr. Guillermo Balboa, is recruiting a Graduate Research Assistant to pursue a Master’s degree in Digital Agriculture and Nutrient Management. This assistantship offers a unique opportunity to be involved in groundbreaking research aimed at enhancing corn productivity and nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) using cutting-edge digital agriculture technologies.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the GRA position, applicants must have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, or a related field with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Experience in:
- GIS and spatial analysis
- Crop modeling and production systems
- Field experiment design and management
- Data analysis and interpretation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A collaborative, team-oriented attitude
Scholarship Benefits
- Annual Stipend: $27,876
- Full Tuition Waiver: Covers up to 12 credit hours per semester and 6–12 credit hours in summer
- Health Insurance: Offered at a reduced rate
Graduate Assistant Responsibilities
