The University of Pittsburgh Heinz Fellowship provides a $20,000 scholarship to outstanding students from developing countries who aspire to pursue a Master’s degree and exhibit strong leadership potential.
During their residency, fellows are required to deliver at least one presentation on a topic related to their professional experience to members of the university community.
These reports are then shared with program officials at the University of Pittsburgh and representatives from the H.J. Heinz Company Foundation.

- Graduate School of Public Health (GSPH)
- Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (GSPIA)
- School of Law
- School of Education
- School of Nursing
- Hold an undergraduate university degree.
- Demonstrate proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Preference is given to applicants in the early or mid-stages of their careers.
- The Fellowship is designed for individuals working in practitioner and policy fields. It is not intended for academic research, sabbaticals, or medical research.
