Applications are now open for the 2025 FINCAD Women in Finance Scholarship, offering $20,000 USD to exceptional women from around the world pursuing graduate-level studies in finance. This global scholarship aims to empower and support women advancing careers in finance, particularly in asset management, market risk management, and derivatives within capital markets.
Originally launched in 2014, the scholarship continues its mission under Numerix, which acquired FINCAD in 2023. Based in Vancouver, Canada, FINCAD specializes in providing cutting-edge analytics to help clients navigate derivatives finance effectively.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the FINCAD Women in Finance Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be enrolled full-time in a Master’s or PhD program in Finance at an accredited university
- Have started or plan to start studies between January 1, 2025, and February 1, 2026
- Have less than 10 years of total work experience
- Have fewer than 5 years of professional experience in finance
- Identify as female, and be a citizen of any country
Scholarship Value and Benefits
- A single award of USD $20,000 is granted annually
- 50% of the award is paid directly to the recipient
- The remaining 50% is paid directly to the recipient’s academic institution to offset tuition fees
- FINCAD also offers employees two paid volunteer days per year through its FINCAD HOPE program, matching employee skills to community needs
