Macquarie University Graduate Research Scholarship 2026 (Fully Funded in Australia)
Macquarie University in Australia is offering a fully funded scholarship opportunity for international and domestic students to pursue Master’s or PhD degrees in 2026.
This scholarship provides full financial support, including tuition coverage, a living allowance of AUD $38,500 per year, and other benefits.
Eligible Programs
You can apply for the scholarship in the following research courses:
- Graduate Diploma of Research (open to domestic and international students)
- Master of Research (MRes)
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
- Combined MRes + PhD programs (for domestic students only)
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the 2026 Macquarie Graduate Research Scholarship, applicants must:
- Meet the entry requirements for the research degree program they are applying to
- Review eligible courses via the university’s scholarship search tool
- Have a strong academic record and relevant research experience
- Propose a research topic that aligns with Macquarie University’s research strengths
- Have a capable and approved supervisory team
Note: Additional eligibility conditions may apply for pathway (MRes-to-PhD) scholarships.
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants may receive one or more of the following:
- Full tuition fee offset
- AUD $38,500 yearly stipend for living expenses
- Top-up funding on top of the base stipend
- One-time or fixed financial support
- Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) and possible visa support for international students
How to Apply for Macquarie Graduate Scholarship 2026
For New Applicants:
- Apply through Macquarie’s Online Application System
- Submit a combined application for both the course and scholarship
- Request two academic referees to send reports to the Graduate Research Academy
- Clearly state the scholarship reference number in your application
For Current Students or Recent Offer Holders:
