Coventry University is offering a fully funded PhD opportunity in the field of theoretical many-body quantum physics, with a specific focus on using matrix-product-state (MPS) path integrals to investigate the dynamical and topological properties of quantum spin systems.
Quantum spin systems play a pivotal role in advancing both quantum mechanics and emerging quantum technologies. This PhD project aims to apply MPS path integrals to analyze equilibrium and non-equilibrium phenomena in these systems. The successful applicant will join a cutting-edge research initiative dedicated to developing a comprehensive theoretical framework for understanding quantum entanglement and its evolution, while also exploring the topological characteristics of quantum states.
Benefits
The successful candidate will receive comprehensive research training, encompassing technical expertise as well as personal and professional development. At Coventry University, all researchers—from PhD candidates to Professors—are supported by the Doctoral and Researcher College Capability, which offers high-quality training programs and career development opportunities.
