Heirs Oil and Gas University Scholarship 2025
The Heirs Oil and Gas University Scholarship, also known as the OML 17 Heirs of Tomorrow Scholarship Scheme (HOTSS), is a transformative educational support initiative by Heirs Energies in partnership with its Host Community Development Trust (HCDT). The program is designed to empower bright and underprivileged indigenes of the OML 17 host communities by promoting equitable access to quality tertiary education across Nigeria.
About the Scholarship
The Heirs of Tomorrow University Scholarship offers a financial award of ₦200,000 annually to academically outstanding students currently enrolled in Nigerian federal or state-owned universities. This scholarship runs throughout the beneficiary’s undergraduate program, supporting them from admission through to graduation.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Heirs of Tomorrow University Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a citizen of Nigeria and an indigene of one of the OML 17 host communities.
- Be currently enrolled full-time in an accredited Nigerian federal or state university.
- Have obtained at least five (5) O’Level credits including Mathematics and English in one sitting (WASSCE, SSCE, or NECO).
- Maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.0 on a 5.0 scale (or 2.5 on a 4.0 scale) throughout the duration of the scholarship.
- Not be a recipient of any other scholarship, grant, or bursary from another organization.
- Provide a valid identification letter from the appropriate host community authority.
Scholarship Benefits
Successful candidates will receive:
- ₦200,000 annually as financial support for academic expenses, renewable until graduation, subject to maintaining academic performance.
