The France Emile Boutmy Scholarship is for students from non-European countries to pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at Sciences Po in Paris.
The Sciences Po Émile Boutmy Scholarship is made possible through the generous support of benefactors, corporations, and foundations committed to enabling outstanding international students to pursue their studies at Sciences Po.
Additionally, private sponsors have the opportunity to engage directly with scholarship recipients during officially organized events.
Eligibility Requirements for Sciences Po Émile Boutmy Scholarships
To qualify for the Sciences Po Émile Boutmy Scholarship, applicants must:

Be a first-time applicant from a non-European Union country.

Have a household that does not file taxes within the European Union.

Have received admission into an Undergraduate or Master’s programme at Sciences Po.
Ineligible Candidates
The following applicants are not eligible for the scholarship:

Swiss and Norwegian applicants (as they may qualify for CROUS scholarships).

Candidates with dual citizenship, including EU nationality.

Candidates from Quebec applying for a Master’s degree (since they benefit from sliding-scale fees like EU applicants).

Candidates for Ph.D. programmes or one-year Master’s programmes.

Applicants for Bachelor’s or Master’s dual-degree programmes, except:

Dual Degree in Journalism (Sciences Po/Columbia University).

Dual Degree with Fudan University (Europe-Asia in Global Affairs) (only for Chinese nationals).

Dual Degree with Peking University (only for Chinese nationals).

Exchange students or those applying via the French graduate admission process.
Benefits of the Sciences Po Émile Boutmy Scholarship
For Bachelor’s Degree Students
The scholarship is awarded to first-year undergraduate students and may take different forms:

€14,210 per year for all three years of undergraduate study.

€9,500 per year for three years.

€6,500 per year for three years.
-
€3,900 per year for three years.
The scholarship is automatically renewed if the recipient continues to a Master’s programme at Sciences Po.
For Master’s Degree Students
A tuition grant of €13,100 per year (amount for 2023, subject to confirmation for 2024), covering part of the tuition fees for both years of the Master’s programme.
